How did you get into photography?
I started a zine when I was at school and it needed photos so I picked up my camera and started doing fashion shoots with my friends and taking photos of my favourite bands and interviewing them
Did photography find you or you found photography?
I think we both found each other, but I probably made more of an effort to find photography as I did a short course on it in paris to learn darkroom skill and how to work a camera properly.

Did you expect your career to take off so quickly?
It was complete luck that I began interning at i-D straight after Paris and they asked to see my portfolio then got me to shoot for them, from there it was a bit of a snowball effect and other magazines and stylists began to pick up on me, I think it helped that I was only 19 so I had that as a sort of edge.
Have you had any knockbacks that made you think twice about photography?
The first couple of years with no money was hard but I think you need that to challenge yourself, if you are really passionate about something you will do it no matter what.

From all the projects you've worked on what has been your favourite?
Any shoots I do where I have full creative control with the stylist is amazing as the piccies always come out exactly how I want. A definite highlight was been flown out to st tropez first class to shoot Elise Sedanoui at the chanel cruise collection, it didn’t feel like work at all and I was thoroughly spoilt and got lots of fun and atmospheric shots of the event
Who would you love to work with?
The supermodels of the moment would be incredible, I also love it when I get to work with stylists who are my friends such as fran burns, Katie shillingford, Robbie spencer. I would also love to shoot some of my favourite musicians, Marily manson and Courtney love would be ideal and well I have a mega crush on robbert pattinson (I swear I still think like a 16 year old)

You had an exhibition in september, "drive thru" - what was the most memorable experience from that road trip in america?
Hmmm tricky, we had so many amazing experiences. I think one of the most fun places we went was Lafayette in louisianna, we stayed with an aquaintance who is musician and he showed us around thes Zydeco dancehalls where we danced with cowboys till the small hours and drank swamp pops and would wake up the next morning and go to a Zydeco breakfast where everyone was carrying on the party, met so many awesome and weird characters. It was the place we visited with the most culture as it is so close to new Orleans.
If you weren't a photographer what would you be doing?
Something creative, maybe being a fashion designer or a rockstar, I still want to do both.

I've read that you have also dabbled in djing - what songs are you loving right now?
I do dj at random events that friends put on, my friend Alex and I did a night called Grotbags (were planning on bringing it back soon) im loving Kid Cudi, war paint, pulp (yay their reforming) Salem, Hole, Nirvana, Koudlam.
Who has been the most interesting/strangest person you have worked with/met?
I met Olivier Zahm recently and I had so many pre conceived ideas about him being a complete sleaze but he was one of the most interesting, sweet, slightly shy and intelligent people I have ever met, he of course is obsessed with sex but I think that is just one facet of his personality, he was very inspirational.
What's your guilty pleasure?
X Factor and smoking

Favourite place in london?
Downstairs at the Albion is my friend and I’s new hang out, they do great cocktails and its near to where we all live and we all feel grown up and like were in sex and the city or something. I also love hanging out in bleach at wah nails as alex my bestie runs bleach hair salon their and there are always really great people getting their hair done and having a gossip
What is the most fearless thing you have done in you life?
When Im drunk I am totally fearless but its normally just embarrashing the things I do, like jump on stage for my fave bands.
Who is the most fearless person that you know?
My friend Lyndell Mansfield she is so inspirational she is about 10 or so years older than me and has done so much in her life and lives each day to the max and does not care what people think of her and has the kindest heart.
